Is it just us, or have you noticed all the construction in Nashville?

Nashville is one of the most rapidly growing cities in the United States. Around 100 people move to Nashville every day, with the city holding the second highest annual average percentage growth in population from 2010-2015 in the country. There is no doubt why people are rushing to settle down in music city, and the increase in economic activity and development is nothing but beneficial to the city and its residents. However, as any city embraces urbanization, they also face impending gentrification, and Nashville does not fall out of that category. Many residents are disturbed by altered skylines and increased price of living, not to mention the accompanying name changes of neighborhoods to reflect the times.

We at Change++ entirely support progress, development, and change (see what we did there) as long as it is for the better. Thus, we have begun work on an exciting new project with The Wond’ry to help the old, new, and incoming residents of Nashville navigate Music City in a personalized and affordable manner. The ultimate product we envision is an application one can use to enter their specific level of affordability through a number of parameters and fields, and then view a map of corresponding residential and lifestyle options.

We have a team of dedicated, enthusiastic Vanderbilt University students ranging from sophomores to seniors currently developing this application, and we can’t wait for you all to see the final product!
